Licensing: bring my artwork to your product.
Beyond my stock collections, I'm open to licensing my illustrations and patterns directly to brands, manufacturers, and studios for use on products, packaging, and print. Whether you're developing a new fabric collection, stationery line, homeware range, or seasonal packaging, I'd love to help bring a bit of warmth and whimsy to what you're creating.
What is licensing?
Licensing means you pay for the right to use one of my designs on your product, without needing to commission something from scratch. You get a design that already has a defined look and feel, and I retain ownership of the original artwork.
Depending on your needs, I offer a few different arrangements:
- Non-exclusive licensing. You license a design for your specific product or product line, while I retain the right to license it elsewhere too. This is a more affordable option, well suited to smaller runs, one-off products, or projects with a limited budget.
- Exclusive licensing. You get sole rights to use a specific design within your product category (e.g. exclusive for stationery, or exclusive for a defined region or time period). I remove the design from public sale on stock platforms for the duration of the agreement. This option costs more, but gives you full ownership over how that artwork appears in the market.
- Custom commissions. Prefer something made just for your brand? I can design new artwork or an original pattern collection tailored to your product, palette, and story, licensed exclusively to you from the start.
How it works
1. Get in touch. Tell me about your product, timeline, and what kind of design you're looking for (existing collection or custom work).
2. Explore options. I'll share relevant designs from my portfolio, or discuss a custom concept if you'd prefer something original.
3. Agree on terms. We settle on licensing type (exclusive/non-exclusive), usage scope, territory, duration, and fee.
4. Receive final files. Once terms are confirmed, I deliver production-ready files in the format your team needs.
5. Launch. Your product goes to market, and I'm always happy to see the final result!
Pricing
Licensing fees depend on usage scope (exclusive vs non-exclusive), product category, print run or distribution scale, and territory. I'm happy to provide a tailored quote once I understand your project. Reach out and let's talk specifics.
